Chris, I almost became an au pair this summer. I ended up not doing it at the last minute for personal reasons, but I say go for it. There’s an American agency called Geovisions I used that was extremely helpful. They offer Au Pair programs, but they also offer similar programs for shorter lengths of time. It’s a cheap way to see Europe, and you’re at the right age to do it. Hope this helps!
